NEW FLOODLIGHTS

We have recently installed training floodlights on pitch 2 at Tennant Park with the assistance of the Sports Council for Wales, the Welsh Rugby Union and our President. This is a significant facility for the Club and Skewen and we must express our thanks to the Community Council, our partners in this project, for their help in making this possible. We would also like to thank the Supporters Social Club for their help.

Message from former Skewen great Richard Baker. Apologies for the images of Tudor and Bob.

I've just been looking at the site, really impressed. It brought back a lot of old and great memories for me.

I played for Skewen 1st XV from 1981 to 1989 (and a few more appearances until I retired in 92), including the Centenary/ West Wales success. I left the RAF last year after 24 years service and now work for a Norwegian company in Okpo, South Korea as a software engineer, working on drilling equipment. I live in Elgin, Scotland with my wife Eleanor and three children.
I would like to pass on my best regards to all at Skewen RFC, especially the old players and committee men, I played with, as I no longer get home as often as I would like.

Very best regards
Richard
