Not many people know this, but, during the late 1970s Skewen RFC Players used to keep themselves fit by sequence dancing.
Here we see Kevin 'Twinkle Toes' Pearce and Jeff 'Rumbaba' Davies taking refreshments between the Foxtrot and the Cha Cha. LOVE THE HEAD GEAR GUYS!!!

Our thanks to 2 hard working committee members
We would like to express our thanks to 2 very hard working ladies who have extended their junior commitments by joining the senior committee. They are our best "gatemen" and raffle ticket sellers by far.

Second XV Win Awards
Skewen 2nd's have won two awards at the annual Swansea and District presentation evening, blocking Morriston from making a clean sweep on the night. The awards were: The Dorian Heel Bar cup, for most tries in the league, and Alun G. LLoyd shield for being the most hospitable club. A big thanks to all the boys, and lets hope we take home more than the consolation prizes next year.
Another Successful Season
With a young side ably managed and coached by Skewen stallwarts Richard and Jamie Ball we finished a more than credible 4th in National League 3 South West and with any sort of luck considering the close games we narrowly lost it could have been promotion. On top of this we won the West Wales Bowl and performed with credit in the Welsh Cup. The seconds were runners up in the Swansea and District League and lost to a strengthened Morriston side in the Swansea and District Cup semi final.
The Committee once again express their gratitude to the two Ball's (and Clyde) for their endless enthusiasm and coaching skills which has seen this team of home grown, amateur players improve year on year.

West Wales Bowl Champions
Skewen beat Pontyberem 45-29 in the final of the West Wales Bowl in a fast and flowing game of champagne rugby.
